Our friend Kim asked us to join him and his girlfriend Di for a motorbike ride out to Stanwell. The town is about 1.5 hours away from Sydney and the road there has some fun corners. I found myself screaming with joy in my helmet several times while holding on tightly to Matt. It was a bright, sunny day perfect for riding or as Matt likes to call it "sticky tire weather" as it's ideal temperature for tires to grip the road. At the top of the lookout spot, we stopped to enjoy the fresh air and the big ocean view while snacking on ice cream cones.
We rode further into the next town which had two little local cafes, so we decided to stop and have lunch there. By the time we were done with our meals, the weather had cooled down a bit and the ride home was smooth sailing the whole way. It was a lovely Saturday to be in Stanwell.
