Who says we can't celebrate American holidays here?
Aussie grocery stores. They make it impossible to purchase fresh whole turkeys at this time of year. After scouring various butcheries, fresh food markets and grocery stores, I discovered that turkeys are only sold around Christmas time. I had to settle for a pre-made one which I didn't really fancy but the boys didn't seem to mind. They were busy enjoying the all the other traditional fixin's I cooked up for our first Thanksgiving feast: green bean casserole, baked sweet potato mash, roasted veggies, homemade stuffing, macaroni & cheese bake, and pumpkin pie. Yum!
