Of Graff and Film

Today was a big day for us.  A hip hop event had been organized at the Casula Tanks by the Liverpool Council, the Casula Powerhouse, and a youth-focused organization called Street University.  The day was full of live performances from local MCs and dance groups, and many well-known graffiti writers came out to paint.

So while Matt got busy piecing, I got busy filming and interviewing graff writers for our documentary.  Praise the Lord for clearing up the weather and giving us good lighting!  After eight hours in the hot summer sun, we packed up our things and headed out with the boys (Mistery and the SFX crew) for a delicious feed at Jimmy's wife's restaurant in Liverpool.  But the day didn't end there.

Alan had been patiently waiting for us at Street University where we would film Mistery's interview on a proper camera with good lighting and crisp acoustics.  We set it up, Matt did the interview while Al filmed, and I did a bit of filming behind the scenes.  It was a massive effort by all and by 1:30am, we decided to called it a wrap.  What a day!
