I'd been wanting to check out the rare Picasso Exhibition at the NSW Art Gallery but Matt wasn't that keen, so instead, I got to go out on a lovely date with my mother-in-law. Boy were we surprised! Like most people, we assumed the works displayed would be all cubism and surrealism but it wasn't really like that. I learned so much about Picasso and his other passions and was able to see his incredible range of talent. Truly, the guy was a genius and a freak at what he could do. I could've stared at his early etchings and drawings in charcoal and ink for hours. I wanted prints of his violin and guitar sculptures. He constantly moved with and interpreted the times through his work. It was awesome and I'm so glad we got the chance to appreciate Picasso's personal works up close.
