Now that I'm starting to settle down on this side of the world, I think I'd like to abandon correspondence via internet and return to the handwritten letter. It is uninterrupted thought at its best, I think. To compose a fluid story or observation without the option for backspace or delete has a way of making one construct more meaningful thoughts. There's something lovely and precious about the handwritten letter that is lacking in the world of emails. I think it's time to bring back the personal touch to communication.
