Matt had just finished commenting on the position of Rossi as we saw the two bikes before him collide. What followed was a series of tragic camera angles, one of which showed a helmet tumbling across the track. Then for a split second, we saw him--the vibrant Italian rider with his big mop of hair and long lanky body--lying there...still. The cameras cut away and out came the big red flag waving back and forth. The race stopped and so did our hearts. We'll miss you, Marco.
